Niceville Community Center and Library 2024
March 7, 2024 Tricia offer the first Food Trucks for Birds lecture and activity program for adults and kids 7 and up. It was a huge success. The kids loved coloring the birds and the geography lesson while the adults learned how to create a planting plan for birds in there yard.

Coffee Club at the FWB Library Center
The Coffee Club located at the Food Trucks beside the Ft. Walton Beach Library offers a monthly coffee club and chat. In March it was a plant swap meet as well. Tricia set up her poster to speak to the public about the importance of birds and the connection to native plants.

Additional Resources:
Most people are not aware of the free (pre-paid with our taxes) the county extension offices in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties. If you have more specific questions about native plants in your landscape, call them. The master gardeners are super friendly and very helpful.

Audubon Society has great information as well. It’s not as specific to each planting zone in Florida but I used it for reference material for my research about the birds.
